The Sunflower is a stereo harmonic tremolo pedal with a fully analog signal path and an uncommonly deep feature set. Independent control over harmonic width and stereo width lets you dial in everything from classic single-speed tremolo to swirling, rotary-speaker-like textures with treble and bass modulating at different rates. Add 8 continuously variable waveforms, tap tempo with ramping, 5 onboard presets, and full MIDI control, and you have a tremolo pedal that covers far more ground than the name suggests.
Key Features
- Stereo harmonic tremolo with fully analog signal path
- Independent Harmonic Width (treble/bass phase offset) and Stereo Width (L/R panning) controls
- 8 continuously variable waveforms across 3 shape modes (Sine, Triangle, Random)
- Harmonic Division control: run bass and treble waveforms at different speeds
- Tap tempo with selectable divisions
- 3 ramping modes: Momentary, Latch, and Drift
- 5 onboard presets with color-coded LED
- 3.5mm MIDI in/thru with integrated optocoupler
- Expression pedal input with per-parameter heel/toe mapping

Width Controls: The Sunflower’s Secret Weapon
The Harmonic Width knob controls the phase offset between the treble and bass tremolo waveforms. Fully counter-clockwise, they’re in sync for standard tremolo. Fully clockwise, they’re 180 degrees apart for classic harmonic tremolo. But every position in between is available too, letting you set the bass to just trail the treble slightly for an off-kilter, organic pulse. The Stereo Width works the same way for left and right channels. Combine both at different settings and the result is a swirling, three-dimensional tremolo with an almost rotary-speaker character.
Waveforms & Shape Modes
The Shape knob is continuously variable and works differently depending on the Shape mode switch. In Sine mode, it blends between four sinusoidal waveform variations. In Triangle mode, it blends between three triangular shapes. In Random mode, a random square wave is generated, and turning the Shape knob up increases the complexity and unpredictability of the pattern. That’s 8 waveforms total, all smoothly variable.
Harmonic Division
The secondary function of the Division knob lets you set different speeds for the bass and treble components of the harmonic tremolo. In quarter-note mode they run in sync, but change the division and the bass waveform runs slower or faster relative to the treble. This creates polyrhythmic tremolo textures that evolve over time, something very few tremolo pedals can achieve.
Ramping & Drift
Three ramp modes borrowed from the best of Flower Pedals’ other designs: Momentary (hold to ramp to a second speed, release to return), Latch (tap to toggle between two speeds), and Drift (speed automatically wanders up and down with adjustable depth, speed, and shape). Drift mode is especially effective for long, evolving ambient passages where you want the tremolo to feel alive without constant manual adjustment.
