The Lupine puts two distinct fuzz circuits in a single compact 125B enclosure: an analog octave-up fuzz on the Purple side and a JFET-based fuzz/overdrive on the Cream side. Use them independently, stack them together, or place them at different points in your signal chain using the Lupine’s extra set of I/O jacks. Both circuits sound great with guitar and bass, and the whole package comes in at a price that makes it easy to add serious fuzz versatility to any board.

Key Features

 - Two independent fuzz circuits in one 125B enclosure

 - Purple side: Analog octave-up fuzz with Blend, Level, and Gain controls

 - Cream side: JFET fuzz/overdrive with Input, Bias, and Output controls

 - Extra input and output jacks for placing each side at different points in your signal chain

 - Single Fuzz mode: hold both footswitches at startup to use as one pedal with octave toggle

 - Works with guitar and bass

Purple Side: Analog Octave-Up Fuzz

Based on classic octave fuzz circuits, the Purple Lupine delivers everything from sputtery, glitchy octave textures to piercing, full-bore octave fuzz. The Blend knob mixes between your clean signal and the octave circuit, Level sets the output volume, and the Gain control (new to this version) lets you push the octave circuit from subtle shimmer to aggressive, harmonically rich saturation.

Cream Side: JFET Fuzz/Overdrive

The Cream side uses a JFET transistor topology with a highly interactive three-knob layout. Input works like a guitar volume knob with treble bleed, controlling the signal hitting the gain stage. Bias sets the operating point of the main gain stage, ranging from gated, sputtery fuzz to smooth, heavy saturation. Output controls the final level. The interaction between these three controls gives you a surprisingly wide tonal range, covering everything from light, amp-like overdrive to thick, compressed fuzz.

Flexible Routing

The Lupine’s extra I/O jacks mean you’re not locked into running both sides in sequence. Place the Cream fuzz before your dirt pedals for foundational grit and the Purple octave after them for a different texture, or any other combination your signal chain calls for. In Single Fuzz mode (activated by holding both footswitches at power-up), the left footswitch bypasses the entire pedal and the right footswitch toggles the octave circuit on and off, which is ideal if you want to treat it as one fuzz with an octave option.
